This is an old article but I found it interesting it because it
compares the design and history of Windows NT and Unix. Quite a long
article but broken into sections and very readable.
In what seems to be the continuing quest to put Linux in everything,
one company has created a software radio using an iPAQ PDA, the Linux
OS, a radio transceiver expansion pack and special software. Is it
just a glorifed radio?
The Register posts great reviews of Linux distros. This one is a look
at the the Lindows Media Computer designed for the living room. Very thorough.

An interesting head-to-head review of Red Hat 9 Linux vs. SuSE Linux
8.2 (doesn't say whether standard or pro). Author's first language
obviously isn't English, though!
Some of us (dare I say almost all of us) have gotten so used to
Linux, we forget that it's not always as easy as we think moving from
Windows. This author looks at some of those points including where
Linux lacks and where it beats Windows.
